In pursuit of her professional acting career, she completed her studies at The University of Texas. Her first job was as a commercial model and print model. Her debut on TV was an extra on the show Friday Night Lights. Initially she appeared in small parts in television shows such as A Thin Line Supah Ninjas and How I Met Your Mother. Also, she began her film career around that time with roles in films such as Detention and DisCONNECTED. Her breakthrough came in the form of Kristina in General Hospital. The show aired for about an entire period of a year. Her career took a major boost in 2014. The actress was commissioned to play a mechanic called Raven Reyes on The 100 The 100, a popular American science fiction television show. The character was initially a regular character. In later seasons, it's evolved into a leading character.
