Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 from February 27, 2010 to Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a quiet town which is situated in the West Island, which is part of the Montreal island. People unfamiliar with the term often think that it's a isolated island to the west of Montreal although in actual fact, this part of West Island is home to all things from Lachine west to the town of Lachine west. Amanda Brugel is said to have been born on West Island. However, this is not true. Brugel lived in Courtice outside Oshawa Ontario. She aspired to be an elite dancer, however due to an explosive expansion, she outgrew every one of her dance friends. According to an article in the Toronto Star, she revealed that, in her heels, she stood six feet and one inch tall. Once I had outgrown my male dancers, I quit. Former dancers often turn into acting and Brugel was no exception. Drama teacher in her high school was able to push Brugel in the direction she wanted to go in. She was a teacher at the time who advised her to take on a part in the school's annual production. She tried out and was eventually cast as the leading role in Anne of Green Gables. The show was a recipient of a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to attend York University's Theatre Program and graduated from the program in 2000, earning a Bachelor in Fine Arts. Over the past 20 years since, Brugel has been offered roles in over 60 shows on both screens, receiving the greatest attention when she landed the role of Rita on the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale (pictured below). Brugel is the only Canadian actor to appear in the season 1 and was only seen at times.
