Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 - Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is an unassuming community which is situated in the West Island, which is part of Montreal's island. It is the West Island, to those who don't know about it, is a large section that extends from Lachine until the west. There is an argument that it was the birthplace of Amanda Brugel but while that is true, her stay in the city was brief. Brugel grew up in Courtice in the vicinity of Oshawa Ontario. The first goal was to become performing, but she was able to outgrow her dance partners. She admitted in an article released by The Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall, even when she wears heels. When I grew out of my male counterparts, I resigned. The former dancers usually turn to acting, and Brugel wasn't an exception. The drama instructor at her high school helped push Brugel in the direction she needed. Her teacher suggested she audition as Anne in their annual school production. She was the teacher who suggested that she go after a role in the school's annual production. It led to the award of a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program and graduated with the Bachelor in Fine Arts degree in 2000. For the last twenty years the career of Brugel has seen her perform in more than 60 TV and film productions. The role she was most famous for was Rita (shown below) on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel, the only Canadian of the season 1 Cast of the show and was only seen on occasion, was the only Canadian.
